The blue flag on the map below indicates the location of Ruston Reaches, in the village of East Ruston, and less than three miles from the town of Stalham (pop 3,000) where there is a branch of Tesco with electric vehicle charging points in its car park and a High Street with a good number of local businesses.

There are fishing rights from the bank of the lake for those staying at the cottages, but the lake is not currently managed with fishing in mind.
